Discover ALFAM's nitrogen loss simulator

The ALFAM 2 project is a Europe-wide multi-institutional study aimed at quantifying the nitrogen losses that can occur following land application.

Thanks to several input variables on spreading conditions, the equipment used and the type of product spread, it is possible to simulate the nitrogen losses to be expected.

Instructions for use :

  1. Enter the values in the white “input values” boxes and select the equipment used, the type of slurry and the spreading conditions from the drop-down lists.
  2. The result appears automatically on the graph. Nitrogen loss is expressed as a % of the total nitrogen initially spread.
