Root growth can be controlled by the targeted placement of nutrients with an attraction effect such as phosphorus and ammonium. In order for the roots to develop, the conditions must be right. In principle, placement almost always has advantages for nutrient uptake, especially in cold and wet soils or in dry conditions.

This is the term used to describe an undesirable growth effect of plants in which the roots do not or only slightly penetrate the surrounding (existing) soil outside the sowing area. There should therefore be no inhibiting barriers such as soil compaction or cavities in the soil profile.

With a working depth of 30 cm at the point of the coulter, a functioning stone protection system is absolutely essential. With travel speeds of up to 12 km/h, very fast reaction times are required here.
